Nokia Lumia 610: A Quick review of the first low-end handset running the latest Windows Phone Software

Announced last February 2012, the Nokia Lumia 610 is the first real low-end device that will ship running the latest Microsoft’s Windows Phone Operating System. The Nokia Lumia 610, unlike the other Lumias, is equipped with 800 Mhz Qualcomm MSM7225 (S1) System an a Chip (SoC) processor and 256 MB of RAM. The device has said to be running the updated version of Mango which is the Windows Phone Tango, a software designed to run on a low powered handset like the Nokia Lumia 610. Given the hardware specifications, the handset has a 3.7 inch WVGA (480×800) resolution TFT capacitive touchscreen coated with corning gorilla glass, a 5MP rear 2592х1944 pixels, autofocus, LED flash camera and able to play a 720p video at 30 fps, 8 GB of internal storage and comes with both Windows Phone 7 and Nokia apps such as XBox Live games, Nokia Drive, Nokia Maps and the new Nokia Transport.

Nokia Lumia 610 is expected to arrive in the Q2 of this year as Smart Communications already posted it in their phone list along side with the high end Nokia Lumia 900 and the mid-range Nokia Lumia 710 (pre-order now). The phone will come in variety of colors (cyan, magenta, black and white) and estimated to have a price of Php 11,000.00.

Nokia Lumia Coffee Tab Concept

Meet the next generation in personal computing. Presenting Nokia N9’s big (brother?), Nokia Lumia Coffee Tab. Before you ask me where you can purchase this product or if it is available in your place, I will tell you now, this is just a concept from a designer named Tristan as one of the entries at Mynokiablog.

Nokia Lumia Coffee Tab on Windows 8

The Nokia Lumia Coffee Tab is equipped with a 1.4GHz processor , 512 MB RAM, 16/32/64 GB of internal memory and a 9.7 inch AMOLED Clearblack display with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. The device is also equipped with 8 megapixel back camera that might support HD video recording and a 2 megapixel front camera for video calling. One thing that we have noticed is that the back camera was placed in unusual location which is at the top left corner of the device unlike with the the common centered camera of the others.

The device also include WiFi and 3G connectivity plus GPS and Bluetooth were also on board. A set of Nokia Purity in-earphones will be included as an accessory. And this device will run on Windows 8.

Lets see if Nokia will take this design and bring it to life.
